Directions for Peanut Butter Oatmeal
We love to eat oatmeal, and we really love to eat overnight oatmeal from the slow cooker. There is something satisfying about waking up in the morning and having a warm breakfast, even when you are rushing to get out.
Make sure to grease your slow cooker so the oatmeal doesn’t stick.
Load in the steel cut oats. Don’t be tempted to use something else, unless you want mushy oatmeal. I’d say I’m not judging, but I totally am!
And what do I get for judging? I forgot to take pictures of the next step. Dang! That always comes back to bite me.
Well, add in the water and the salt and let it cook overnight. Peanut butter oatmeal on the way!
In the morning you should have a nice pot of cooked oats, which if I’m being honest is pretty bland food. Let’s add some flavor!
Boom! Peanut butter. I like the smooth kind, but crunchy would add some different texture which might be nice. Give it a go and let me know how it turned out in the comments.
Drizzle on the honey to give this dish some sweetness. You can adjust this to your liking. I love my food sweet so I went for it!
Mix it all up and you have some tasty peanut butter oatmeal. I know it doesn’t look like much, but it tastes delicious.
I’m ready to eat. I tend to have mine with homemade oat milk.
Until next time,
Hubby
