Directions for Salsa Chicken Nachos
We’ve cooked this salsa chicken a lot and there is a tendency for it to burn. I suggest you add a healthy amount of oil to the bottom of the Instant Pot.
Place your chicken into the Instant Pot. Our was slightly frozen, but that is ok. It will get cooked all the way through.
Add the Taco Seasoning over the top of the chicken. Be generous if you want some good flavor, and if you know a good seasoning blend, send it to us!
Cover the chicken with a cup of salsa. Use a flavor that you like.
Your chicken should look like this when it is done.
Now is the hardest part of the whole meal. You need to shred the chicken. We use two forks and pull it apart. Make sure to put the shredded chicken back into the juices in the Instant Pot. Let it soak up the flavor.
The rest of this is just assembly. Put down chips, the salsa chicken, rice, and cheese. Then melt the whole thing.
You can zhuzh it up with some sour cream and taco sauce!

- Oil the Instant Pot
- Add chicken breasts to the Instant Pot
- Add taco seasoning and salsa over the chicken.
- Pressure cook for 10 minutes.
- Do a 10-minute natural release.
- Shred chicken and put on chips with rice and cheese.
- Melt the cheese and enjoy
